Who we are

Blueprint NC Faith Table is a network of progressive individuals and congregations committed to putting their social justice values and beliefs into action.

Mission

We, North Carolina’s progressive communities of faith, rise in solidarity to create an inclusive, anti-racist democracy for all peoples of North Carolina. We reclaim our religious traditions from wayward influences and return them to their roots in social justice. We do this work by nurturing accountable relationships, organizing networks of human, spiritual and physical resources, and building political power in service to our shared values.

Vision

We envision a North Carolina where everyone is free to live in safety, with dignity and autonomy; where strangers are welcomed as neighbors; where every person has equitable access to resources and opportunities to thrive.

Love, Joy and Abundance

We lead with love, joy, and the spirit of abundance in order to create the world we envision. We counter despair with compassion, empathy, and kindness.

Meaningful Change Through Organizing

We ground ourselves in proven organizing frameworks to improve material conditions for the people of North Carolina. In doing so, we confront the legacies of systemic racism, tyranny, fascism, and economic oppression.

As protected entities, faith communities have a moral responsibility to confront injustice through the power of our words and actions. We speak up and create the space for other faith and community leaders to be courageous truth tellers. We do not place our economic security, social status, or desire to avoid conflict above the need to speak truth to power in pursuit of justice.

Moral Voice & Moral Practice

We gather in this beloved community to harness the wisdom and honor the sacredness of all faith traditions. We reject the elevation of any one faith above any other. We recognize and stand opposed to the destructive, exploitative aims of Christian nationalism in our state and all forms of religious regressivism everywhere.

Wisdom of the Many

We uphold the inherent worth and dignity of all beings and recognize we are all connected, our well-being inextricably tied to one another.

Mutuality

Centering the Marginalized

In a society that routinely dispossesses and marginalizes individuals and entire communities, we prioritize centering the needs and leadership of the directly impacted in order to achieve equity and justice.

Principled Struggle

We will not allow our divisions to prevent us from achieving needed change. We believe unity is created by bridging differences and through shared struggle. We embrace the struggle for deeper understanding and recognize the moral responsibility to stay in relationship and solidarity in times of disagreement, in service to our shared mission.
